About Chandra Hitz

Chandra is an associate clinical mental health counselor (ACMHC). She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and other certifications including diversity training and Utah Domestic Violence/ Offender training. Chandra's counseling focuses on helping youth and adult clients navigate through anxiety, depression, and PTSD utilizing a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) lens. She helps clients focus on the reality of their situation and work through dysfunction with needed support.

Chandra counsels with both individuals and couples working through interpersonal issues that directly affect their relationships. A special passion is helping women within the LDS community find their voice and highlight their strengths. She works to ensure her clients receive compassionate and practical support on their journey to emotional freedom and wellness.

Chandra integrates the connection between mind, body, and spirit, using a holistic approach to healing through clinical mental health. Chandra coined the phrase: "When your conviction is greater than your complacency, then incredible encounters can occur." If you are ready to heal and willing to work at it, Chandra can help guide your process.

Chandra is new to Cedar City and loves the intimate nature of small town living. She has been married for over two decades and is the mother of four children. Her personal life lends itself to much experience in the field of mental health and a personal motto to "protect [one's] peace" has become a focus of care. Chandra's interests include being outside in nature and occasionally settling down with a good book, especially if it's on a warm beach.
