Copays and other session fees are due at the time of each service. Copay fees may vary depending on a client’s insurance provider, plan, and deductible. If an individual, couple, or family plans on covering fees with self-pay, those fees will also be due at the time of each service charged from the required and provided billing information on file. At Roots Counseling, each of our therapists only has a certain amount of available time each day. To respect this valuable time and effort our counselors provide, we require our clients to read and sign our cancellation policy. This aims to help clients understand that it is their responsibility to notify the front desk or their therapist to cancel an appointment more than 24 hours before the scheduled session time. If a cancellation has occurred within less than 24 hours’ notice, a fee of $100 will be charged to the credit card on file to the connected account. Any rescheduling at that point will be at the discretion of the therapist. All sessions are billed for one hour, regardless if the session time is shorter than a full hour.
